I'm sorry. 2WD?
Seriously, it's not my dream vehicle, but I thought pretty damn cool for a commuter and weekend toy hauler. Could not find a flaw on it, and dealer installed 2 new batteries while I waited on paperwork. These guys are hurting. $6800.

Nice truck and Killer deal there! Wait till the diesel bomb disease sets in
I have only ever really needed 4wd once on in my travels. That one time was not really worth any added expense. You should be fine with the 2WD.
Sorry Steve, I know we have a pact on this. I almost settled on a 98 2500 Dodge 12valve, but the owner didn't respond for like 48hrs. By then, F250 was already sitting in the driveway.
Thank-you for all the kind words!

Nice!! Only place I've ever needed 4WD was the upper part of the Crozet driveway.. in slush... pulling the buggy. I love driving a diesel.

"Pact" HAHAH!!
You buy what works for you mang! In today's diesel market, getting a good deal makes all the difference! With each manufacturers negatives, all of them balance out.
Here is my take on the negatives.
Chevy/GMC: I just don't like the interiors. Cheap quality IMHO. You spend your time in the interior not the engine bay/bed, wherever. Suspension is a little soft as well IMHO.
Dodge: Transmission issues and VP44 Injector pump (24 Valve engines). Depending on where you live the early bodies apparently have rust issues.
Ford: The 6.0 has the cylinder head problems.
Consequently none of these negatives really become issues until the truck is modified, so IMHO they all balance out.
For the right price I would drive or tow with either of the "Big-3" Diesel 2500/250/3500/350 trucks. But now that the Dodge is paid for I am not getting rid of it either :flip:
