Yea, walmart has a pretty good deal on some of the lower powered Cobras. You don't really need anything over 2 to 5 watts for trail rides.

If you want something a bit more pricey, Charlie's Truck stop on NorthHampton Blvd over in Norfolk has a pretty big selection of Radios and a Catalog in there too.

I WOULD have answered yes if I hadnt had a short conversation with a buddy about this the other day. He said you use CH 19 to hail the Coast Guard on a boat. Since Ch 19 is typical common chatter for highways, I'd guess that maybe they're not the same.

Could be wrong though....

CB and UHF are different.. Check to see if its a UHF Radio. If it is.. Then nope... Some however... Like my Dad's Connex Radio come already Tuned as a UHF and have to be converted over to a CB...

This is his...
He's Got a Connex 4300-300 10 in his Western Star.
Confederate Flag Faceplate and all.. Its like a $500 radio though.

CB and`[s:65fdd612e3] UHF [/s:65fdd612e3] VHF are different.. .

CB = ~27MHZ (HF)
BOAT = ~150MHZ (VHF)

You could possibly find a HAM radio, which covers a vast spectrum of frequency's and variable power output. It also requires a license to operate...

Yeah, Franks is the place you are talking about. There is a CB shop behind the truck stop (Signal Comunications). They have parts, cb's, and to repairs as well. I had mine Peaked and Tuned there and it was quite reasonable.
