And tryin to find stuff later won't be a problem.

Boss gave me today and tomorrow off from buildin clubs and subs, so I decided I'd start the front gears of my Jeep install.

....okay, so where's the damned wrenches to start this crap?! Oh yeah, strewn about the garage after spring cleaning.

So I've decided I'll just organize all my tools according to size, use, and frequency of use. The weather wasn't warm enough for my likings anyway ;)

Did I mention I'm a perfectionist? That means cleaning down all my tools, making sure they're all in working order, etc etc.

Holy crap, who'd a thunk that two tool boxes FULL could take so long to gather, sort, clean and organize?! It took almost as long as it does to clean my room. (yeah, still live with the parentals, yeah, its a small room, but I have way too much shit and need to move out asap, blah blah blah).

In the mean time, gotta make sure all tools are mine, and return my fathers that are rightfully his. (we end up swapping from time to time too. he has so many more its way cool to just lean over the bench and snag a couple).

So in short, remember kiddies- use a tool, put it back when you're done. Don't just toss it on the top. That's how messes are made, and the few seconds it would have taken you to put the tool in the drawer is now multiplied by the amount of tools stacked, divided by the nastiness of the accumulated dirt and grime, and then squared by the amount of time it will NOW take you to go through it all. -And have a few beers in the process.

don't you mean who would have thought?
I do not beleive thunk is in the dictionary. Unless, it is an onimanapia (or whatever) where it is a sound that something makes.

This coming from the guy with the longest run on sentence of all time!

(notice the use of only one punctuation mark)

The difference being I purposely used that slang. :rtfm:

Of course, if you WANT me to pick on you, I'd suggest looking up the spelling of believe and onomatopoeia.

A wise man once said "He who lives in a glass house, should not cast the first stone."

Now stop with the hijack!

My problem is.. I go out and buy more tools when I can't find the one I need. When I do clean, end up with 3-5 of everything. Worked fine for C-clamps, screw drivers, wirecutters. Then wrenches.. multimeters... etc.

Thats alright, I for some reason people keep leaving tools in my vehicles.

Had the Ram tinkered with yesterday and got a free Snapon screwdriver and a few snap-on torx bits that rolled out from under the back seat after I got home.. And the last time I took my GFs mom's car into the dealer they left a matco 1/4" drive ratchet under the hood, and someone just recently left a 1/2" drive Kobalt ratchet in my Jeep and no one will lay claim to it....

Granted my nice 1/2" x 24" craftsman breaker bar is missing from the Garage these days.. And I am a bit pissed about.. 1/2" Kobalt is not = to a Craftsman Breaker Bar of that magnitiude
