Yep. I'm officially poor now for the rest of my life...
I bought me a tow hoe to shag the Jeep around from now on. No more having to worry about destroying my daily driver on a Saturday, fixing it on a Sunday, and praying that it doesn't fall apart on the way to work on Monday.
So, I found a hell of a deal on some new wheels...
2006 Dodge Ram 2500 Mega Cab
5.9L Turbo Diesel w/ Auto and Tow/Haul Goodies.
Limited Slip 11.50" Rear w/ 3.73s
Power Tow Mirrors and such.
Fire Engine Red.
And I'm going to wait a little while before screwing around with this one. Its not gonna be easy so please keep the temptation to a minimum...
I don't have any pics of my Exact Truck yet, but heres a stock photo of its twin.

Just in time too since gas prices are back on the rise and diesel is staying steady... Now you just need a trailer

I know right... Usually its my office that catches wind of me escaping for a weekend. The last Crozet trip they screwed me on. But least with the truck as my new DD, I don't have an excuse to not go and when I go, go all out... Ohh wait, except for making sure I don't burn my payment in Diesel Fuel.
And as for the trailer.. yea, thats about what I am looking for. Enough room for my Jeep, and a friends' or a Slide in Camper shoved up on the goose.. Redneck style.. Orange County Va. Representing!

You may not want to go with that excuse, ADD/ADHD is just a PC excuse to explain off stupid kids. I know this for a fact, I have one in the house right now!!!

I dunno, lately I just have had a hard time focusing on single tasks. I mean once I get it started, I can finish them. However, procrasticantion and not wanting to do boring things kill me.

WOW, I dont know how I missed this topic.... very nice truck. Much nicer than I'll ever see. Still shopping for a 2003 or 2004, in the same style and model that you got. Anybody know of anything I need to watch out for with those years?? Since I mentioned your truck in the first line, technically I didn't hi-jack...right? :pirate:

They are custom made.

BUT, I had a buddy at a dodge dealer getting some warranty work done and a regional rep pulled up in one, Had a cover on the front and on the bed. Kinda of easy to tell what it was due to the size. After a long and pressing convo, the rep slipped that it is based off the new cab & chassis frame.
5500 LB MC....I fawkin dream
And you want to know what, it probably will still turn better/tighter then the 03 LB CC Superduty I drive for work

Well, got the Christmas Present from the Fiance installed today finally..
Some of it was easy, and some of it was a PITA.. Talk about nervous.. Taking a 4" holesaw to the bed of my semi- brand new pickup... yikes..

I remember when you first got your truck and there wasnt a single scratch, welcome to the real world... Get some Heculiner, I used a gallon in my truck at 3 coats and its held up to a lot of abuse

Yea... I'm not too too worried about the bed anymore. Its got dents and dings, and gouges.. I'm gonna coat it now that I have the hitch in it. I was holding off on that so that I could get it sealed all the way up against the hitch port mount.

I like that setup but I like having the versitality of the rails, you can still tow the goosenecks and the 5th wheels, there are many different attachments for the common rails also

They make the same attachemnts for these to Jon. The 5th wheel companion hitch insert is expensive though.

My god Alex, about time you got that done

Yea... As for the Goose options they make a neck adapter to turn the 5th wheel style pin on a trailer into a 2-5/16 ball and adjustable neck. My dad ordered one so that he can borrow my truck to shag his 5th RV if they ever go futher than Nags Head or something.

Smarty hands down for the new CR's. Its one of the few that doesn't raise rail pressure.
Also, incase anything happens, it leaves no elctronic "footprint" to be traced
