View Full Version : RE Drop Bracket "Stiffeners"
these tie into your uni-frame rails and RE Drop brackets. they have 6 bolts per bracket that bolt onto 6 pre exhisting holes on the jeep and the drop brackets themselves, which i have previously installed... so this should be a simple process, really...
what did i learn??? they will take, on average, approximately 1 day per bolt to install. dont ask me why, it's just what i learned today.  :bang:
im sure graig will post up here shortly with some of the pictures he took...

Bolt on my ass......I'll take some better pics tomorrow and update this with better pics. The only thing holding the front end on is the brake lines and shocks.
by the way thanks graig for the use of your garage and my junk being in a million pieces in there for the next week :thumb:

just for general info, I would highly suggest you swap your track bar tower out before you snap that existing bolt off the tower... Drivers frame tower
pat --- yeah i think the guys name might of been josh, but he's from SOcal... not sure if the same josh or not.
JON--- do you want to come by graig's this saturday and help out with finishing up the font end and getting the track bar mount relocated or beefed up... i will be over there from 8am until god knows what time... :thumb:

Ya I can show up over there, you might need to remind me on Fri though, do you have a new tower?
What I'm referring to is the way the factory mount is and the hiem joint, it only allows a little amount of flex being that the bolt that holds everything is Vertical.. Mine is set up that the bolt sits horizontal so it has no binding and no stress to the joint and bolt and best of all it allows for unlimited flex

"ahh, i see" said the blind man.
thats the RE one pictured there, correct? isn't there a way to mod what we got and achieve a similar result? i thought james was talking about something like that a coffee run or two back?
im out of funds to buy something that quickly and i dont even think RE would get it here before saturday at this point, seems like my stuff from them usually takes about 7-8 days.
Pat do you have any suggestion what else could be done to beef up or reconfigure the trackbar mount (driver frame mount.)

that one is from Rusty's. for what you see in the picture its $89, other than that do you have a steering box brace?
for steering box brace i bought the C ROCK plate. i guess i will just order the track bar mount from rusty since its only a $100 and i will have it hopefully by saturday... he is located in alabama, so might just happen....
so yeah, got that covered. JON, do you know, is that replacement Tie rod end going to fit with the RE trackbar... it should be the same size TRE as stock i believe...
