I was thinkin about a piece of alum. daimond plate spaced 1/2 inch above the floor allows for an air gap.

Were you putting that in your jeep?

Try this to keep it out. http://www.heatshieldproducts.com/heat_shield.php
Just be carefull about using it to cover an entire firewall. Can make for a hot engine compartment. :thumb:

if you go under and use some galvanized sheet you'd get double duty..

The plate would reflect most of the heat, and then the air movement through th space would cool!!!

Just pop a couple of rivits on either side of the flanges!

You would have to install one in the center and cross ways or it going to sound like thunder going down the road

Maybe one in the middle, but there's not that much wind to move it around much where I'm going to put it.

Yep under the jeep, with the small gap and rounded forn to fit the tunnel I don't think it'd make too much noise....

Maybe I'll just have to wind test a piece at work tomorrow!!
